FREEBIES: 4th of July Chalkboard Templates
This year, 4th of July seems… weird. Parades are cancelled, BBQs are done over Zoom and fireworks are already happening every night, so we’re all pretty much over it. But that doesn’t mean we can’t find some joy in this day. Even if it’s just with the family you’ve been quarantined with for 100+ days (but hey, who’s counting?), I think we could all use a reason to celebrate. So I’ve got two FREE chalkboard templates designed to help you do just that.
To create these patriotic bad boys, I used my favorite VersaChalk chalk markers. I used the metallic blue, red and silver chalk markers to give it a firecracker shine — but you can use your favorites!
The Let’s Get Lit design is for an 11 x 17 in board like this one, but the Let Freedom Ring board is a bit more flexible. Here are a few tips to help you tweak this design to fit the board you have on hand.
This design is around 10 inches wide, but you can adjust the size down when you print to make it fit on whatever size board you have. For example, if you only have room for 6 inches, knock it down to 60% print size.
The firework illustration can be moved anywhere you would like on the board — and if you are careful not to smudge your chalk outline, you can move the template around the board and create multiple bursts! This would be a super cool look with lots of color.
To fill in any excess space, you can add little bursts of sparks… and by that, I mean dots. :) I grouped them in 3s to give the impression of a sparkler. You could evenly space yours around the board to look like stars, or pattern them to look like the little falling pieces of firework. Or you can leave them out entirely. You do you, girl!
