Baby Watch Calligraphy Challenge: Win a Premium Skillshare Membership!

Inconceivably, my due date for baby girl #2 is right around the corner! It was around this time last pregnancy that I shut down my shop, stopped taking orders and began going HAM on nesting… but this time around thanks to a little thing called COVID-19, I’ll be working until my midwife pries the iPad from my puffy, sausage-like fingers. And because I think we could ALL use a little fun these days, we’re going to make this waiting game a bit more interesting with a little thing I like to call the Hoopla! Letters Baby Watch Calligraphy Challenge!
This challenge is half office baby pool and half calligraphy showcase. Here’s how it works:
Make your guess. The easy part – guess what day Baby Hoopla will be making her debut. I’ve included some factoids about my pregnancy and some old wives tales below to help you make your guess. Plus, I’ll be doing an AMA on Instagram stories where you can ask more questions if you need some extra info… just don’t be gross, mmkay?
Script it up. Using whatever calligraphy method you prefer, script up the date you want to guess.
Snap a pic & share. Post a pic of your entry on Instagram and tag @hooplaletters with hashtag #hooplababywatch.
Everyone who guesses correctly will receive the first copies of my soon-to-be-released Coffee Coffee Coffee Calligraphy Workbook! Okay, so before we get into the official rules and legalese, here are a few things that may help you make the best guess on Baby Hoopla’s arrival.
Baby Hoopla is a girl.
Her official due date is September 9, 2020.
My almost 3-year-old (what?!) Wren was due on September 10, 2017… but she wasn’t born until September 22. Yeeeah.
I, however, was born a couple weeks early.
At her last ultrasound (37 + 5), she was measuring in the 97th percentile.

Got it? Good. Now get to guessing! And I swear, if any of you predict this baby will be 12 days late like my firstborn, I will block your ass so fast you won’t know what hit you. Just kidding! Kinda.
Official Rules
How to Enter. Entrants will guess the due date of Baby Hoopla and script it in calligraphy. They will then post a photo of their work on Instagram, tagging @hooplaletters and using #hooplababywatch. Entries may be submitted from August 24, 2020 until arrival of baby. There is no limit to the number of entries.
How to Win. All entrants who guess the correct date will receive a free PDF copy of the Hoopla! Letters Coffee Coffee Coffee Calligraphy Workbook. Hoopla! Letters will select one entrant from the winners to receive a free annual premium Skillshare membership, valued at $99. Entrant will be selected based on quality and creativity of the submission, and at the discretion of Hoopla! Letters. Winners will be announced within 72 hours of the baby’s birth, and notified via Instagram. Winners will be prompted to send their preferred email address to Hoopla! Letters via Instagram direct message. Prizes will be emailed to winners by October 1, 2020.
Eligibility. Contest open to US residents, age 18 and up.
