Listen, I know this worldwide quarantine is difficult. But by staying at home, you’re helping to protect our most vulnerable populations. Throughout this pandemic, I’ll be sharing oodles of calligraphy worksheets and tutorials to help you learn, meditate and stave off cabin fever. This NEW live online workshop is designed for students who have already completed an Introduction to Modern Brush Calligraphy workshop, either in-person or live online. Read on for more details, and I hope to see you there!

Have you attended the Hoopla! Letters Introduction to Modern Brush Calligraphy Workshop — either in-person or online? Are you ready to learn MORE? If so, join professional calligrapher Kimberly Shrack of Hoopla! Letters on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 1 p.m. PST/4 p.m. EST for the brand spankin’ new Modern Brush Calligraphy 102 Workshop!
DATE: Sunday, May 3, 2020
TIME: 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST to 5:30 p.m. EST/2:30 p.m. PST
LOCATION: Online! A recording will be made available for registered attendees for 24 hours after the event if you are unable to attend.
This workshop picks up right where the Introduction workshop left off. By the end of this workshop you will:

Understand how to connect letters using diagonal and horizontal joins;
Be able to achieve the oh-so-popular “bounce” calligraphy effect; and
Have further refined your modern brush script.
This workshop is designed for those who have taken the Hoopla! Letters Introduction to Modern Brush Calligraphy Workshop, either in-person or online. Not only will you receive 1.5 hours of instruction and a workbook to print at home, but you will also have the opportunity to ask questions, share your work and get feedback in real time. You’ll also receive an invitation to join the Hoopla! Letters Private Online Community, a space full of letter lovers you can share your work with.
To get the most from this workshop, it’s recommended that you purchase the following supplies — however, any brush pen and paper will do!
